American Association to Advance Powder Diffraction

We’re pleased to announce the American Association to Advance Powder Diffraction (AAAPD), a grassroots organization that was formed to be a voice for the powder diffraction community to ensure a bright future for this field.

The AAAPD represents scientists and engineers from academia, government, and industry who use powder diffraction in their work. In addition to providing a network to connect powder diffraction practitioners, we provide curated information on topics such as conferences, databases, educational resources, instrumentation, facilities, and software used by the scientific community.  As a voice for the community, the AAAPD advocates for practitioners’ needs related to facilities, research funding, and software development, which will strengthen the field and support powder diffraction practitioners.

You can learn more about the AAAPD, and sign up to become a member (membership is free!) at https://powderdiffraction.org/

With appreciation,
Cora Lind-Kovacs

AAAPD Founding Member
