ACA Election Candidate

Tori Drago: Candidate for BioMac SIG Chair Elect 23

I am honored to be nominated for BioMac Chair-Elect position. I became an ACA member in 2019 and since have served as the Chair-Elect (2021) and Chair (2022) for General Interest, in addition to participating in organizing several sessions. I recently completed my Ph.D. at the University of Toledo in the laboratory of Timothy Mueser. I have since started my role as Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Neutron Scattering Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory under the mentorship of Andrey Kovalevsky. My current research focus involves using neutron diffraction to understand pyridoxal 5’-phosphate mediated catalysis. If elected, I intend to promote diversity and equality in the BioMac SIG while encouraging communication with other SIGs to cultivate collaborations for high-quality, impactful programming. I am thankful for the consideration for this role and for the community ACA has provided me with.
